Daniela trained at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica and worked for nearly a decade doing full-color and color correction services at salons in Silver Lake, Los Feliz, and West Hollywood. She specialized in balayage and color correction, developing a reputation for rescuing over-processed hair. After a repetitive stress injury took her out of the salon, she transitioned to writing about the industry with the same directness she brought to every client chair.

Her writing is for people making real decisions: clients sitting with a correction quote they don't understand, first-timers who don't know what questions to ask, or anyone who's had a bad color experience and wants to know exactly what went wrong. She doesn't hedge.

These days she digs into the parts of an appointment most people never get explained: how a correction gets priced, why two colorists quote the same service so differently, and what a consultation should actually cover before any product touches your hair. When a claim shows up in one of her pieces, it is because she has either done it at the chair herself or checked it with someone who still does.
